Tracy DiMarco was born on November 14, 1987 in Summit, N.J. As a child, DiMarco was involved with dancing, acting and sports. She also was very active in cheerleading until a traumatic accident at age 17 took her out of competition permanently.
Throughout middle school and high school, her main interest was fashion, so during a summer break, DiMarco took classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology for fashion design.
After high school, DiMarco attended a year of college at Hofstra University, where she realized the direction she was taking was not right for her. She left Hofstra and went to Artistic Academy, a modern, state-of-the-art beauty academy that provided the most advanced training in salon management, marketing and state licensing skills in all aspects of hair, skin and nails.
In addition, everyday after class, DiMarco would go to work as an assistant at Bella Pia Salon in East Hanover, N.J. Three short months later, she was promoted to senior stylist at the salon while juggling her full-time class schedule. It was difficult but DiMarco knew this was the business she was born to be in. Two years later, she applied for a job at The Gatsby Salon in Greenbrook, N.J., where she continues to work.
